Louise's Utopia: Doughnuts For Breakfast And Deer In The Fields

Updated: Nov 17

My fretting about the whearabouts of the deer ends today. Two young beautiful does were eating in the field. And here it comes. Right next to my apple trees! Why on earth do they have to eat there? The rest is ironic too because I had to chase them off. After months of worrying about the deers location. I told them to leave. I have decided I may need one of these up near the road to watch for the little lawnmowers. Check it out https://amzn.to/3ZAQpp0 If I placed a camera up there I could track and monitor them more closely, in the future. I will encourage them to eat elsewhere. Speaking of encouraging them to eat elsewhere, a lot of people around here talk about food plots. I always thought it meant growing food for yourself to eat, but it is really to attract the wildlife. I want to grow more grass for the pheasants, perhaps I can also grow some food plots for the deer to keep them out of my apples. I am looking at this for future help. https://amzn.to/4eeLcYa Meanwhile, I went outside to encourage them to leave the humble orchard I've planted. Spitefully they headed toward the highway. I immediately stopped chasing them. Are they insane? Why did they have to run toward the highway? Is that some kind of deer threat? I backed off and they retreated. They in turn threatened me further and went to a field that has been plastered with chemicals. Kind of wanted to warn them off of that, but I let it go. Poor deer. Bad choice of morning meal. I miss them again. Oh well. As it is now on the latter part of September, on a lovely morning. I decided that doughnuts were in order for breakfast. I used my new pan.

Does the pan look nice? I thought it did! https://amzn.to/3XSZp7p These pans are phenonmenal. They are perfect but only if you do not want to soak your doughnuts in a bucket of lard. The pan is steel. It has a non-stick coat. I am sure the non-stick substance is poison if it chips into your doughnut. Just watch it and take care of the pan. No banging the pans harshly. It is dishwasher safe. Hahahaha, I have to laugh because I have not used a dishwasher in 20 years. If you buy my house, you get a brand new dishwasher. I have thought about tearing it out, but what will I put in its place? Any ideas? Back to washing, I would not recommend a diswasher for this pan anyway, as it only takes two seconds to wash with warm, soapy water. It's a breeze to clean up. The cinammon doughnuts I baked were so delicious or so I heard. I only ate a small amount as I cannot afford to eat doughnuts for breakfast out of the blue. Come on man! Who can afford that? I just use a fine book such as this for recipe ideas. https://amzn.to/3XyZLio

Definately worth it. That book makes a person the hero of the breakfast. Supposedly. Let me know what is going on with your fall adventures. And enjoy those leaves. Take a drive on the Coteau des Prairie. It is gorgeous up there!
