Louise's Utopia: How Just Another Sunrise Can Still Cause Surprise!

Updated: Nov 17

The other morning I awoke. Just as the horizon was turning orange with the sun's rays. I could see the first lines of color gracing the dome. I had not quite committed to getting out of bed. I just lay sleepily looking out the window. I remember thinking, I should arise to get something accomplished. I was not that tired nor was I that energetic. I did fall asleep for probably three more minutes. Opening my eyes after the cat nap. I realized the sun was really showing itself. The orange and yellow light poured upward. I was happy. I felt a little upset that I had missed the last three minutes of the show, by sleeping. I was a bit lazy. But there I lay watching the sunlight fill the sky like fire. As the rays grew, I had a strange thought as light poured onto the Earth. The sunlight was overtaking everything in its path and changing the way it fell into itself. Everything was becoming the sun. Bright yellow and orange scenes transformed the horizon! It made me realize that this is how God approaches us. The closer we come to Him the more we look like Him! Just as the blue sky in the sunrise completely was engulfed by yellows and oranges and reds. So too, we are changed by Gods divine light. I became pretty entranced in the view. I was shocked at the colors, how the light changed everything in its path. It almost looked like the stripes of a tiger. Thick and warm and beautiful. I had to actually bend my neck to come out of the vision of this beautiful sunset. I could feel my face relax. I felt so moved by that sunrise. I knew that God wanted me to see how much he loves us. He draws near to carry us and care for us. He changes everything about us into goodness, by giving the gift of Himself. All in order to be that loving Father that He is. Just like the warm colors and rapid change in the sky. When God draws near to us we change into the look of Him and the attitude of Him. We turn the color of God. Just as the horizon turns the color of the sun. The sun was quickly rising. I no longer could see the skyline, just the sun. I marveled. God really wants to cover the Earth with Himself. Making us like Him. As it is, there is no other gift more wonderful then God alone. It is hard to stay focused on the memory of that sunset. Just as I was lazy to watch the sun rise. I am also lazy to respond to Gods calling. Even so, what a beautiful Hope for all of us. We should draw as close as we can to God. Don't wait- do this now! Let yourself be changed into his accessible, unconditional and indescribable love. I know the blue sky before the sunrise

was pretty. But the dawn brought on a show of blazing rays that were phenomenal.
