Wildflowers found on the
Coteau des Prairie South Dakota
Welcome to the Coteau Valley Farm wildflowers page. We are excited to offer beautiful photography of wildflowers found in South Dakota and on the farm. We hope to slowly expand the descriptions and add new pictures and information. Wildflowers are very important to the prairie as they are essential to thousands of insects and wildlife. Bees depend on the wildflowers as well as many butterfly species. The need to protect our wildflowers and ensure their propagation is extremely important to the prairie. We hope to rid the farm of any invasive weeds and replace it with natural wildflowers. Please check back, especially in the Spring and Summer months to view the wildflower page of the Coteau Valley Farm. We hope you enjoy and love the wildflowers as much as we do here at the farm. Again thank you for your virtual visit to the Coteau des Prairies.
